The first time that I photographed The Weird Things playing live they were supporting “Punk Rock Legend” Johnny Moped at The Lexington in London. For these shots I was still shooting in single shot mode. Earlier in the evening, during The Weird Things set, I was mostly shooting from the sides of the stage but during the Moped set I was in amongst the crowd. I wanted to capture that feeling of being there. Unfortunately this doesn’t always work because as you press the shutter people’s heads can suddenly get in the way, those shots end up in the bin, but sometimes it can work.
