The thing with shooting in single shot mode is that sometimes you can miss that perfect moment, a facial expression, a strange dance move or some great colour from the lighting. I used to shoot in single shot mode all the time and sometimes I got lucky, hitting the shutter at the perfect moment. But when you get the chance to photograph an energetic band like The Weird Things, single shot mode isn’t good enough, you just miss some great photo opportunities. So when I went to photograph their 2nd gig in May 2016 I set the camera to burst shot mode (around 8 fps) and took 462 photographs. With burst shot mode you do get a lot of similar photographs but the chance of capturing that perfect moment is more likely. I sorted through the shots I had taken and managed to email 140 photographs to the band. These photographs were taken at The Scream Lounge in Croydon.
